Russian-American dramatic coloratura soprano Aurica Avonaires is a versatile opera soloist and accomplished stage actress celebrated for her commanding vocal artistry and dramatic depth. Born and educated in Moscow, she holds dual Master’s degrees with highest honors—one in Acting from the prestigious Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) and a second in Opera Performance and Vocal Pedagogy from the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts.

Her extensive theatrical background includes several seasons as a resident company member at Moscow’s renowned State Drama Mayakovsky Theatre, bringing a rare level of stage technique, character insight, and expressive nuance to her operatic roles. Ms. Avonaires has captured top honors in international vocal competitions, including First Prize at the Solo Vocal Competition in Kiev and Second Prize at the XXI Century Art Competition in Lonigo, Italy, alongside multiple grant awards from The Russian Performing Arts Foundation.

On the opera stage, her diverse repertoire spans from Mozart's Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), and Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) to Verdi’s Violetta (La Traviata), as well as classic Russian masterworks including Iolanta, The Tsar’s Bride, and The Snow Maiden. She has performed as a featured soloist with leading ensembles across Europe and the United States—including the Moscow Symphony Orchestra and the Brass Band of the Bolshoi Theatre—and currently maintains an active performance schedule across Southern California and international festival stages, including ongoing engagements at the Vienna Opera Festival
